KIMA is an agency of like minded, Spirit-led, individuals and congregations seeking and seizing opportunities to assist other individuals, congregations, and the Lutheran Church/Missouri Synod in extending and strengthening the Lord's Kingdom among Hispanics and Mexicans, locally, along our southern border, and into Mexico.
Spirit-led projects would include those projects that:
KIMA will promote on-going ministries by encouraging individual congregations to become "partner or sister congregations" making use of and helping each other in ministry. This may be done by providing materials/funding for servant events, VBS programs, Sunday School classes, Evangelism outreach programs, assisting and training of pastorial students and lay-ministers, or anything that would promote spiritual growth and bonding.
All funds received by KIMA will be dispersed as designated by the givers. Projects picked to be funded become part of KIMA's budget - line items will be dispersed, as funds become available. The President of KIMA, upon advice of the Executive Board will disperse undesignated funds.
KIMA is to be an agency to funnel God's love and resources to help fulfill Jesus' Great Commission of going and making disciples by baptizing and teaching. This is not to be just a casual walk but a rushing forth with a sense of urgency.
Spirit-led projects would include those projects that:
- seek to save the lost;
- strengthen the existing workers and leaders (holding up the prophets' hand);
- raising up and training local workers and leaders;
- encouraging Evangelism programs emphasizing the work of the Holy Spirit;
- encouraging stewardship lives that make proper use of God-given talents;
- and anything else that may tip the balance in favor of Christ and the spreading of the Good News of His redemptive work.
