KIMA December 2017 Newsletter

12/11/2017

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14

From heav'n above to earth I come,
to bear good news to ev'ry home;
glad tidings of great joy I bring
whereof I now will say and sing:

‘Tis the season to be jolly

Actually, it the time of the year when we bow our heads in thankfulness to God for bringing about His promised gift of salvation. Jesus born in a humble stable, lived here on earth experiencing all that we have to face, and finally at the cross and at His resurrection fulfills the promise made by God back in Genesis 3:15 as He talked to Satan, “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”

Satan spent all his time trying to circumvent God’s plan, causing trouble, striking and nipping, so to say, at Jesus, but in the end Jesus said “It is finished,” God’s plan has been accomplished, Satan had been crushed, and He proved it by rising victoriously.

Then right before He ascended into heaven He said, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20

That’s how we are to live our lives! That’s what we intend to do! May God continue to bless you as we work together to extend His Kingdom both here and in Mexico!

Now how can they call on one in whom they have never believed? How can they believe in one of whom they have never heard? And how can they hear unless someone proclaims him? And who will go to tell them unless he is sent? As the scripture puts it: ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the Gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!’         Romans 10:14-15 J.B. Phillips New Testament (PHILLIPS)

May God bless you!

Life gives us our ups and downs but we know that God walks with us every step of the way. Here are some of the things that have been going on recently in KIMA's ministry in our May newsletter (click here for pdf).

April 2017 Newsletter

4/6/2017

Preaching to the choir? I don’t know who is a member of the choir and who needs to be reminded of what we are all about. I know that one of our key passages from the Bible is Romans 12:13. Putting that verse into the whole paragraph in which it is found we see the following:

Love in Action

9 Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Romans 12:9-13 New International Version (NIV)

That’s what it is all about! God is love! “God so loved the world that He gave…” The commandments are summed up with “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind, and love your neighbor as yourself.” Love, that’s what it is all about. Once you have truly experienced God’s love you can’t help but pass it on.

People all too often talk about love but they don’t live it. For many there seems to be something more important than God and what He says. We think of ourselves. We place a higher value on things, money, or prestige. The words above speak of sincerity, clinging to what is good, honor, spiritual fervor, serving the Lord in hope, patience, and faithful prayer. And then, share with the Lord’s people who are in need.

January 2017 KIMA Newsletter

1/26/2017

I pray that you have been having a glorious Christmas season and that all is well with you and your families. I apologize for not writing and sending you any Newsletters since back in October or November. I had a Lumbar Laminectomy done on  L3, 4, and 5 of my spine back on November 15. I am finally home but still not able to get back to doing all things that I once did.

Things have been progressing down in Mexico and I wanted to share some of that with you in this January Newsletter (click here for pdf).

I pray that all will continue to go well with you and your ministries.

Rev. Norman Finke, Executive Director of KIMA

KIMA MAY NEWSLETTER 2016

We can’t sit idly by because God didn’t mean for us to be sitting complacently on the bench waiting for something to happen. He wants us in the game actively participating. Stop thinking of only maintenance, keeping things the way they are, but more of multiplication, how we can help extend the Kingdom, uplifting one another.

I guess the biggest thing I wanted to emphasize was not so much what you can get out of this if you join us but what you can do to help build up the body of Christ.

I don’t know about you but I need to be lifted up. I need to have others help me focus on the importance of sharing the love that God is giving me with others.

KIMA March Newsletter

3/16/2016

I pray that you will have a blessed Holy Week and an awe-inspiring Easter celebration.

May the Lord give each of you an opportunity to share His love with those He has put in your path!

He has Risen! He has Risen Indeed!

“There is more to it than meets the eye.”

Love         Agape        Grace        Reaction

Love that gives -- expecting nothing in return -- a gift given and received -- pure love for God -- an undeserved gift -- shared because of the love we have received from God.

‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ Matthew 22:39

‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ Matthew 25:40

Love, love, love

That's what it's all about.
'Cause God loves us we love each other
Mother, Father, Sister, Brother
Everybody sing and shout!
'Cause that's what it's all about.
It's about love, love, love."

That’s what KIMA is all about and I pray that that is what you are all about! God has come to us and wrapped His loving arms of comfort and strength around us and drawn us back into a oneness with Him. Being one with Him we share in His mission of reaching out to those who have lost sight of Him and what He has done.

So you might be asking yourself,

“What’s that all got to do with me?”

Check out our Newsletter (pdf) and share it with others.
