![]() It's been an exciting month. We thank the people of Christ the King Waxahachie for their Octoberfest meal and KIMA Auction. They presented KIMA with a gift of $4354. With an annual budget of around $56,000, this gift is certainly appreciated by the KIMA ministries. Thank you all who have participated either with your prayers and/or your gifts. He presents us with challenges, creates the love in us through His Word, blesses us with our gifts, helps us to follow in His footsteps, and then promises us blessings because we followed His commandments to love.

Now how can they call on one in whom they have never believed? How can they believe in one of whom they have never heard? And how can they hear unless someone proclaims him? And who will go to tell them unless he is sent? As the scripture puts it: ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the Gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!’ Romans 10:14-15 J.B. Things have been progressing nicely with the ministry in Mexico. Two churches are in the process of being reopened, men are studying to become ordained pastors, and men and women of the church are stepping forward to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with as many as they can touch. Key to the ongoing success of the Lutheran Synod of Mexico is the training of more men to serve as ordained pastors. The LCMS is making this possible for two men by supplying them with full scholarships to complete their seminary training at the Reformer Lutheran Seminary in the Dominican Republic. This Newsletter (click here for pdf) is seeking your help in raising funds to pay for their airfare so that they can finish up their seminary training. Please keep these men in your prayers. Rev. Norman R. Finke Executive Director of KIMA ![]() Life gives us our ups and downs but we know that God walks with us every step of the way. Here are some of the things that have been going on recently in KIMA's ministry in our May newsletter (click here for pdf). Preaching to the choir? I don’t know who is a member of the choir and who needs to be reminded of what we are all about. I know that one of our key passages from the Bible is Romans 12:13. Putting that verse into the whole paragraph in which it is found we see the following:
Love in Action 9 Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Romans 12:9-13 New International Version (NIV) That’s what it is all about! God is love! “God so loved the world that He gave…” The commandments are summed up with “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind, and love your neighbor as yourself.” Love, that’s what it is all about. Once you have truly experienced God’s love you can’t help but pass it on. People all too often talk about love but they don’t live it. For many there seems to be something more important than God and what He says. We think of ourselves. We place a higher value on things, money, or prestige. The words above speak of sincerity, clinging to what is good, honor, spiritual fervor, serving the Lord in hope, patience, and faithful prayer. And then, share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Please enjoy and share the April KIMA Newsletter (pdf). We are excited about some of the progress that it is being made with the expanding missions in Mexico. We are trying to keep you all informed as to what is happening with this newest edition of our Newsletter (pdf - click here to read). If you have any questions, please, let us know by email.
Blessings to each of you, your families, and your ministries. Rev. Norman Finke, Director of KIMA I pray that you have been having a glorious Christmas season and that all is well with you and your families. I apologize for not writing and sending you any Newsletters since back in October or November. I had a Lumbar Laminectomy done on L3, 4, and 5 of my spine back on November 15. I am finally home but still not able to get back to doing all things that I once did.
Things have been progressing down in Mexico and I wanted to share some of that with you in this January Newsletter (click here for pdf). I pray that all will continue to go well with you and your ministries. Rev. Norman Finke, Executive Director of KIMA Thank you for taking the time to read this month's newsletter (pdf - click here). I pray that it would inform you of some of the things that we are involved in in our ministry.
If you could, would you pass this along to others or maybe post it someplace where others might have a chance to read it. I believe that when God called us to be His children that He intended us to be active in His ministry. Here is one of many places that you might get involved. Blessings to each of you, to your family and friends, and on the ministries to which God has called you! Rev. Norman Finke Executive Director of Koinoneo Independent Mission Agency |
