I am happy to share once again our work in the new mission area of the SLMAR. Thanks to the support of KIMA we were able to reach this locality, in Tijuana Baja California, and now in the company of 1000 generations working in the evangelistic area. We have been working for the past months in music classes, where 3 young people are currently part of the Sunday liturgical worship. Two on the guitar, one on the drums and I on the keyboard.
We continue to pray to God to provide necessary instruments for the worship of the Christ the Redeemer church as they are, keyboard, bass, drums, guitars, horns. Last month we had two great and blessed activities, one was the course of deaconesses by LCMS where we have two students who will be consecrated for this noble ministry in the future; and the other went reception of the Cristo Redentor church where we are formally part of the SLMAR as an associated church.
I was installed as pastor of that congregation, and since all work bears fruit, 2 young people were confirmed, and a young marriage, with a total of 4 new members. We are happy to have been able to visit the congregations of the San Luis and Mexicali area in the company of Pastor Isaac.
We visited the pastors and some members of the congregation, and we participated in the Sunday worship of the San Mateo church on Sunday, December 9. This in order to strengthen and participate in unity as the church of Christ. On Saturday, December 22, 1000 generations made his Posada, traditional Christmas party, for the community in the Christ the Redeemer Church, it was a pleasant time that opened doors to contact the neighbors.
By the grace of God, who has heard our prayers, the next day, Sunday, December 23, we had the congregational Posada, where new people come, 7 adults and around 20 children, making our church look happy.
We share food and cake, as my contribution 3 rich chickens with two cakes. And a cake for what? Because Tere and Sadoc, collaborators of the work, met on December 22, 25 years of marriage, what a blessing!
We are ready to close the year with a conviviality and ready to continue with new plans and projects for the expansion of the kingdom in Tijuana.
Also a good news to share, I re-start my seminary class. Now I am taking catechism class by Rev. Daniel Conrad, LCMS Missionary, and also our national church are making the process for next year I will start Seminary classes online by El reformador Lutheran seminary in Dominican Republic. Pray for it.
I ask your prayers for your servant, and for the growth of our congregation.
May the grace of the Savior flood their lives in this new year, and prosper their plans.
Yours in warm Jesus love,
Pastor Job Jimenez
