I thought some of you might be interested in what was going on in Mexico. I wrote to them just to showed we cared and I have included what I received back in this month's newsletter (pdf).

For some it almost turned into a back and forth conversation. Some wording may not be quite right, but then that is what I was able to get from Google Translate.

I talked to Pastor Isaac and he is checking on the situation in Chiapas. I also offered assistance if they needed  it for sending their services out over the Internet. 

Neftali and Guillermo will be done with their vicarage in May but due to the Virus will not graduate until September. They are trying to find a way to use these two until then when they will be placed and ordained. One possibility is to use them in the mission at Chiapas and  helping at some other mission. I suggested that we would be willing to help if needed. At present they are seeking aid from Arthur Rickman and the LCMS Board of Missions.

The church pews finally got delivered to the Valley. Rev. Ed Weber received them from Mike Shaw and his crew. Now we need to find a way to get them across the border.
